The Divining Rod Wine
The Divining Rod Makes a Tantalizing Trio

“From water, comes wine” – never has this been more true than with The Divining Rod wines. By giving life to countless vineyards across California, Marc Mondavi quite literally “turns water into wine.” He possesses the grape growing, winemaking skills and knowledge that come from growing up in the Napa Valley, as a key member of America’s foremost wine family. But Marc’s “sixth sense” for water divining (also called water witching or dowsing) and connection with the land, put him on another level of winemaking. That’s why we say that his Divining Rod wines are more than natural, they’re supernatural.

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes
The 2012 vintage was a near-perfect vintage that delivered concentrated ripeness and depth to our fruit from the Alexander Valley. A bouquet of cranberries, anise, juicy plum and earthy cedarwood aromas are layered with subtle notes of leather and graphite. Light flavors of Baker’s chocolate and cola complement the ripe blackberry and deep cherry flavors. A rich mouthfeel, texture and weight from medium-toasted French oak enhance our Cabernet that finishes with layers of complexity.

2013 Chardonnay
Tasting Notes
Opening a bottle of our Chardonnay releases a bouquet of golden delicious apples and citrus.
The aromas mingle with flavors of baked apples, pears and French oak that highlight the wine’s refreshing acidity and long finish. Our Chardonnay, with its rich, ripe aromas and flavors, pairs invitingly with chicken and fish dishes, fresh spring salads with goat cheese and dishes with a little Asian or Latin spiciness.
2012 Divine Red
Tasting Notes
Our Divine Red with its deep, rich, red color opens with aromas of blackberry, cedar and cinnamon. The luscious berry and black pepper flavors are complemented by hints of plum and cassis, delivering depth and complexity. The new French oak adds texture and weight giving the wine a pleasant mouth feel, and the right amount of in fl
uence to envelop the wine in a fitting tannic structure. A long finish harmonizes with the preserved integrity and brightness of the delicious Lodi fruit.
