Healthy Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Breakfast Muffins

Are you pressed for time every morning and find yourself going through the fast food drive-through way more than you should? Looking for an easy, make-ahead, grab-and-go breakfast? These healthy whole wheat breakfast muffins are just what the doctor ordered. (Literally!) You can make them ahead, and even freeze them and defrost as needed! I just think they taste really yummy with my coffee on a cold winter morning. Enjoy! 🙂

I love muffins for breakfast, because you can make them ahead, they’re so easy to grab-and-go, and you can even freeze them.
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup raisins
  1. Mix all ingredients in order listed, being careful not to over mix.
  2. Spoon into muffin cups.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Enjoy!
